I agree, with the recent additions of several denoising algorithms there are better ways at clearing up fireflies then to clamping.

I believe indirect clamping should still be enabled by default, just at a higher value. Maybe increase it to 50, or 100? I personally have mine set to 100.

Having a higher value seems safer way to me.
Thing is, even with denoiser in place clamping fireflies would help adaptive sampling to not spend too much time on fireflies.
