Summary

A simple implementation of this RCS post: https://blender.community/c/rightclickselect/mkbbbc/

This patch adds a property which deletes segments along a curve when the curvature is below a threshold. Think of a decimate modifier, except this property deals with with the underlying segments, not the final tube geometry.

  • Does it makes sense to have adaptive resolution for a curve that has no geometry? This patch only affects curves with geometry.

Hey, this seems like it could be a useful feature, but I'm currently working on replacing this code, so I wouldn't like to add more features here at the moment. (See the blenkernel files in D11091)

Luckily the logic is quite simple here, it could easily be implemented as a node, or otherwise on top of the changes in that patch.
