Summary

This patch was created by @Falk David (filedescriptor) for 2.93, but I have adapted to 3.0.

The problems with this patch are:

  • Some graphic glitches.
  • Modifiers are not updated.
  • Only valid for paint mode... what about Sculpt or Edit mode.
  • Still some lag on Windows.

This idea is now obsolete with the new proposal (T93934) and the demo implementation (D13534).
