Comment Actions I don't really think this makes sense. The problem is deeper, actually. Currently, the properties and toolbar is one thing in the Image Editor. If you enter paint mode in the image editor, the tools appear inside the properties (n-key). It doesn't follow the same convention as the 3D View at all. Just swapping the sides doesn't improve this, now you just get the opposite problem; which is that the tools are now on the right, and when pressing T (expecting to get tools) you get scopes instead, which is at least as weird as before :) I think we could fix this by splitting it up, so the properties and scopes are merged into the properties area on the right, and then place UV Tools and paint tools on the left. This way, it's clear what is properties and what is tools, and it's consistent with the 3D View. So, in conclusion, this is how I think we should organise it: Toolbar (left, T key)
Properties (right, N key)
Comment Actions I agree that this can be improved further, but at least we don't break muscle memory anymore, if the user press "N" the toolbar on the right appears. (Consistent with other editors) So this commit is simply an improvement to the situation we had, not a final stage. Still this is valid imo. Comment Actions Hi, +1. Making it consistent is a step in the right direction and we have already had some positive feedback on #blendercoders for the change. I'll look at re-organising the contents tomorrow if you like...
