Summary

I tried to use cut operator, so both sides of strip stay selected after cutting, without success.

This is older patch,I think this was and is broken, unless I am doing something wrong.

Committed rBbb6a94fa7b28390ea8c22a6026562b0ab6685f92 with minor fix not to store the side used the first time.
