Are you sure about menu being correct place for this? I would think this is a feature of a button (to show a pop-up menu), and not a feature of a menu. I will make a new smaller image to highlight just the button.

Where can I find an example? I only spotted this kind in the new UI.

Let's postpone the pop-up paragraph until the toolbar is documented in the 3D View or the UI > region > toolbar is expanded (maybe). please add a todo.

So for now I would keep the simple button with text + icon: e.g. text object > properties ed. > Text > Text Boxes

search for "text field" in the manual :) the File Browser is easy to reach file path/name fields, (but scale down the editor).
Maybe we should have 2 versions of the text field, de/active, cause background gets almost invert.

all versions meaning: with text, icon only, different sizes should be in the image (if appropriate).
