Summary

I can't include the change in the Import Images as Planes addon in this diff. (will commit it separately)

Questions:

Should there be icons? If yes, which ones?
Which settings should the image empties have exactly?

remove redundant names

I think custom icons for the different image types will be coming later. It's fine to have a submenu without icons anyway.

As for the options, I think background should set show backside off. It might also make sense for background to set show perspective and orthographic only matching the current 3D viewport view.
