Maybe not necessary or not allowed to modify the shipped cmake files.
Haiku have not-linux like folder structure.

If /system/develop is a haiku system path, shouldn't this be added to one of the default search paths?

Could you look into modifying the CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH in the global scope ? (or related variables)
