Details The patch changes the logic used in the workspace reordering operator, in order to make them move only one step to their left or right, instead of moving them to the top or bottom of the list. While this would probably result useless once the new drag and drop system gets implemented properly, in the meantime it would allow an easier reorganization of the workspaces.

Maybe having both operators is ok, but not sure it's worth spending time on this rather than a drag & drop system. Comment Actions The speed depends on what you need to do, if you consider all the from/to possibilities then the average steps should be more or less the same for the two methods.  In that example you can also see how the front/back method is less intuitive, especially if don't already have the exact idea of the order you'd like to have at the end.
Keeping both operators would be a bit messy ui-wise IMO, so if you consider the current method better I think it would be better to leave everything as is. Comment Actions IMO, we should just stop messing around and implement drag and drop and call it a day. I know it's easier said than done, but this is something crucial that is needed many places in Blender's UI. I would simply mark this as a top top priority UI-related item and try to tackle it very soon.
