More than happy to re-submit a modified Diff with the changes you actually think should move forward.

Changes are listed in the order they appear in the Diff.

User Preferences Editor:

  1. Interface / Text Rendering

1a. Changed 'Hinting' -> 'Font Hinting'. Make more specific so users can look up on the subject.
1b. Remove 'Interface' so 'Font' & 'Monospaced Font' are more consistent with each other
1c. Change 'Mono-space' -> 'Monospaced', which I'm sure is the correct spelling.

  1. Interface / Translation

2a. Changed 'Translation' -> 'Language Translation', Making it more specific.
2b. included separator() for readability.
2c. Changed 'Affect' -> Translate' which seems more appropriate, with the suggested Panel title change.
2d. Changed 'New Data' -> 'New Data-Blocks' which seems more appropriate.

  1. Animation / Timeline

3a. Changed 'TimeCode Style' -> 'Timecode Style', which seems to be the correct spelling.

  1. System / Sound

4a. Included separator() for readability

  1. System / Memory & Limits

5a. Changed 'Vbo Time Out' -> 'VBO Time Out'. It's a TLA (Three Letter Acronynm). Should be in UPPERCASE

  1. Save & Load / Blender Files

6a. Changed 'Load UI' -> 'Load Interface' to be consistent.

  1. Save & Load / Auto Save

7a. Changed 'Timer (mins)' -> 'Timer', keeping it consistent.

Unnecessary I think, the context should make it clear this is related to text/fonts.

I don't think "Language Translation" is a correct term, it's not the language that is being translated.

I rather not change this. The panel is named "Translation", the first thing inside it is "Language", I think that's clear enough, no need to repeat it.

I think it's better to use Affect, rather than repeat a term from the panel title.

This doesn't only affect datablocks, also other kinds of data, so the existing one is more correct.

This makes it inconsistent with the operator property when loading .blend files.

If there were units show it would be clear, but until that happens I think having it in the label is helpful.
