Description

System Information
Operating system: Mac OS and Win10
Graphics card: Apple Silicon, Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000

Blender Version
Broken: Tested in 2.83 till 3.4
Worked: Never?

Short description of error
The shadow catcher combined with textured lights seems to perform in an unrealistic way. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks for your work and help!

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
Just turn on and off the shadow catcher to see the difference in shadow. Can this be fixed somehow?

Everything is working as expected.

The shadow catcher is capturing shadows (the lack of light). And the pattern you see corresponds with the cube blocking light from the textured spot light.

Thanks! I get your point from a technical perspective, but the cube is solid and should cast a solid shadow (even though it catches textured lights). Is there a fix for this?
