Brush in "Texture paint" mode doesn't work
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Arch Linux, Windows 10/11.
Graphics card: RTX 2070, RTX 3070Ti.

Blender Version
Broken: All version 2.83 - 3.3.
Worked: Never worked.

Short description of error
In "Texture paint" mode, when you get close to an object, the brush stops painting. If you switch to orthogonal view, it works. In perspective view, the brush doesn't paint when you get close.

Also, no matter what I do, very much hangs, although the texture 1024*1024.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Running the Blender.
  2. I create a texture.
  3. I draw on the object.
  4. I zoom in on the view and the brush stops drawing.
  5. Pulling the view away, the brush draws again.

Hello, could you please tell me how I should draw the middle details? I'm not even talking about the small ones. I can't draw the texture of a tree. And in orthogonal view everything gets distorted and I can't see the result in real time. When I switch to perspective - the result I drew in orthogonal is not what I need. And 2 windows with perspective and orthogonal I do not want to include, everything becomes small.

Is there any way to adjust the distance after which the brush starts working?

Not I'm aware of other than the workarounds mentioned in the manual: T62056#1038920

Is there any way to fix this in future editions of the program?
