Hi, thanks for the report. Not sure how exactly to reproduce crash with that add-on. Could you share steps in detail?
Also, share full crash logs:

Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the blender_debug_gpu.cmd. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to reproduce the
error again. Once it crashes or you close Blender manually the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them
to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop. Please also upload the crash log located in `C:\Users\[your
username]\AppData\Local\Temp\[project name].crash.txt` (or simply type %TEMP% into the path bar of the Windows Explorer).

Ok,
1 - Open blender 3.3.1 and install textools 1.5 ( https://github.com/SavMartin/TexTools-Blender )
2 - open my blend file " untitled.blend "
3 - and just click " BAKE 1X "

Hi, thanks for the file. I tried to reproduce it locally but did not get the crash.
Maybe someone with AMD GPU would need try this.

Probably the same as T94057. HIP has limited support for high resolution textures.

Could you reproduce the crash without the add-on, just by baking an 8k texture normally in Blender?

Crash at 68% without Textools. (same blend file)

Crash at 68% without Textools. (same blend file)

What are the steps to reproduce the issue without Textools?
Even if it is easier to replicate with Textools, developers are more familiar with the tools that come with Blender and can more quickly identify where the problem is.

1- Open the blend file
2 - Select Cube_LP
3 - In the Shading workspace, add Image Texture node with 8192 x 8192 res
3 - Go to Render proprieties
4 - Click Bake
5 - Blender Crash ~65%

It seems obvious to me that HIP with my GPU does not support 8k.

One machine has only 4GB of RAM, so that failed, but another machine with " AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics" worked without any issue.
Edit: GPU on both machines is AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 aparently.

I found the problem, I had installed "Auto-Detect and Install" drivers : https://www.amd.com/fr/support/graphics/amd-radeon-rx-6000-series/amd-radeon-rx-6700-series/amd-radeon-rx-6700

But with the "Adrenalin 22.11.1 Optional (WHQL)" everything work fine now !

Sorry and thank you.
