can't Weight Paint As Expected at the Mouse Cursor When in Perspective View
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro
Graphics card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 KO Ultra

Blender Version 3.4.0
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c044, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
In Weight Paint Mode, and trying to paint on the object, the painted area does not paint where the mouse is pointing at, and sometimes the paint does not paint at all even when clicking. It does this when not in orthographic top (7) view, and in the perspective view.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
Make a plane with lots of subdivisions. Make a vertex group. Assign some vertices to it. Go to Weight Paint Mode. Start painting in perspective mode. See the paint NOT painting in the mouse-pointed area.
