Closed, ArchivedPublicKNOWN ISSUE

Description

When I click in anything, the blender lets 2 or 3 seconds to run.
In Windows it is very fast.

Event Timeline

It happens with me too, the new Blender on Mac OS X is very slow, and I need the program

I forgot, my macbook is a MB062llB
intel C2D 2GH, video card Intel GMA X3100 and 4GB of memory.

I have Blender 4.5 on a Mac Mini and a MacBook.

The Mac Mini (Tiger) works well... MacBook (Leopard) is just as you describe.

When I tried to use 4.6 on the 2 systems I suffer the same!

Really, in Tiger the blender run normaly but in leopard it is very slow.

Wy? Somebody knows?

Yes, Apple messed up with opengl drivers for 10.5.
We can only wait for them to solve it, but they're slow with that. Also keep in mind that apple considers these systems low-end, and not for serious 3d or graphics usage. Intel-on-board graphics in general is very low end.

We also have a couple of Blender devs using macbooks, if they report issues we can look at a workaround.

This is a generic request to test your bug report and see if it is still an issue in 2.5alpha2 if so please let me know by making a comment in this report ie 'also in 2.5alpha2' and I will add it to the 2.5 bug list.
