something happened to fonts in blender after this commit http://lists.blender.org/pipermail/bf-blender-cvs/2009-September/022753.html

This bug is visible afaik only or ATI, on nvidia or intel its fine
here are screenshots, problem is little different if textured fonts are on or off

check the right side in properties panel when i enlarge panel ........

Im on intel osx ATI RadeonX1600, macosx 10.6.1
Tested in builds with carbon and with new cocoa layer
