Description

Blender does not load when run on windows 7.
You have to run it in compability mode for XP.

sounds driver related. Please include details of your graphics card and drivers, also make sure you have the latest graphics drivers for your system.

This dxdiag.txt indicates that it is an nvidia card with a relatively recent driver, and we've had no other similar reports about problems with this nvidia/windows. Perhaps it's unrelated to that and maybe missing installation of "Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistribution Package" or something similar?
