Cannot reproduce this by following these steps (any file?)
regards
Hi, I can't reproduce this either, on r26405.
Are there any more steps that you may have missed out? (please be very specific).
And yes, can you provide a test file?
Win Xp Build 26508 From Graphicall.org
Still crashes.
Belnd attached. Packed I hope, no dialogue to tell me if it has or not.
Hi
I've had chance to test this on a different windows machine and the crash still happens. I can't make it crash on Linux though.
BUT the problem is even simpler, nothing to do with CM or Nodes i think.
It will crash just doing a default cube render like so:
In 3D view, default cube hit F12.
Renders in Render window, the default.
ESC from render Window.
Hit F12 again to rerender and Crash!
Only on Windows, did see a memory error message appear just the once about an area of memory not being able to be written to?
re last message. Blender build 26600 from graphicall by budonobugei:
Built with MS VC++2008 Express on Windows 7 Ultimate x32, and following feature target/compile time options set:
WITH_BF_FFMPEG = True
WITH_BF_OPENAL = True
WITH_BF_QUICKTIME = True
WITH_BF_GAMEENGINE = True
WITH_BF_PLAYER = False # Will set to True whenever the player has been ported properly
WITH_BF_JACK = True
WITH_BF_SDL = True
WITH_BF_ICONV = True
WITH_BF_COLLADA = True
WITH_BF_FFTW3 = True
WITH_BF_OPENMP = True
WITH_BUILDINFO = True
All previous builds I've tested this on are built by the same.
When you say render in render window, is that a new window (default is fullscreen in existing window)? Which graphics card do you have?
I couldn't redo the crash here on either Linux or Windows rendering in fullscreen or a new window.
Hi, any updates here? Can anyone else confirm if it still crashes? If so can you provide a backtrace?
Brecht / Matt
Just downloaded r27370 from www.graphicall.org and tested. Yes still happening exactly as before. Windows only, doesn't happen with Linux, haven't tried with Mac.
Work machine so spec is a little dated. :-)

Just seen a new bug report '21482' about F12 render - esc - F12 render. I think this could be the same issue just I found it a different way :-).
Doing F12 - esc -F12 with the default cube crashes blender the same.
Cheers
Ah, ok. So if this happens with just the default cube, rather than this combination of compositing, most likely it's the same bug. I'll close this one since the other report's probably a bit clearer description of it. thanks!
