Baking Normal Maps revisited

As per my prior submit as follows:

Running on SVN 27152 win 64. I crash trying to bake a normal map of a 2x2 mesh with 13K faces. Settings exactly as
in my blend file example. Click Mesh.001 then shift click Mesh then bake - instant crash. No Python errors reading in
the Console.

I am running on a Win 7 64bit with Nividia GForce 9500 GT card.
HP AMD Phenom II x 4 810 Processor 2.60 GHz 8 gig Ram.

Ive included a simple blend file that repeats the crash for me.

thanks for including the example file.

tested and this doesnt crash for me on ubuntu karmic 32bit, blender
27174.

Since that time I confirmed by installing Ubuntu Karmic 32 bit on my machine as a dual operator that indeed it bakes just fine (and very quick i might add). However in Win 7 64 bit and 32 bit it fails and crashes. I am resubmitting this as a windows bug.
