This patch is an improvement of my old Group as Layers patch, it add visibility,selectability and renderability restrictions to groups of objects in scenes, very usefull for content management in huge scenes where any visibility layer counter restriction is an issue.
While it intentions are nt alayer manager replacemet it overlaps its functionality.

This is nice, feels like it should be like this already! I can't see any drawbacks to this feature
Added group (de)select to the patch which lets you (de)select all the items in the group -- kind of amazed that you can't already do that since groups are pretty crippled without that functionality on a model with *lots* of parts.
Also fixed up the original patch to get rid of the compiler warnings. Not quite sure what outliner_do_group_operation() is supposed to do so couldn't do anything about that.
Including a patch with just the (de)select and one with whole shebang...on pasteall since this POS tracker won't let me attach stuff.

Oh, and one thing I noticed is if you do an un-hide all the group's objects go back to visible even if the group visibility is toggled off.
