Can't reproduce on OS X r28523, I just get 'Unknown fileformat' in the console. Here I'm using the precompiled libtiff version in /lib
in include/tiff.h i have TIFF_VERSION 42 and TIFF_BIGTIFF_VERSION 43

What version are you using? Are you using the precompiled tiff libraries in /lib or your own?

Do you get any other messages in the console?

Console says:

JPEGLib: JPEG parameter struct mismatch: library thinks size is 464, caller expects 432

The libtiff.dll is the one bundled with the build off Graphicall. I'll try builds from today and contact the builder to report the problem.

Does this happen with the official 2.5a2 build too?

Hopefully soon the Windows libs will be updated with a libTIFF static lib (rather than using a dll perhaps) so we can be clear on what version is being used...

This has been fixed by new tiff, jpeg and zlib libraries in lib/windows. For MingW there is also a new tiff library committed.
