I am using Vista Home Premium 32bit with SP2, Python 2.6.2 and VC++2008 Express Edition with SP1-ENU.

I have downloade and unzipped files for Windows version of Blender 2.5 alpha 2. However, when I try to run the executable I get an error message:
"Program: C:\Blender\Blender2.5a2\blender.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information."

I have tried deleting and reloading the files and also versions from graphicall, but they all generate the same error message.

I have been using Blender 2.49b without any problems.
