UV VIEWER: Curves Adjustment Lost Every Node Tweak
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Summary: When using the UV / Image Editor and applying Curves, the net effect is lost every frame change or node adjustment.

Version: SVN31176

Platform: Linux amd64 (Ubuntu 10.04)

Reproduction: 1) Open up the nodal compositor and load a movie sequence or like data in an input node. 2) Make an adjustment via the UV / Image Editor Curves side pane. 3) Change the frame or make a node adjustment. Notice how curves adjustments are lost. The only method to bring them back is via a click in the Curves box.

each image view has its own curve data, multiple viewing the same image each with a unique curve.

so not sure how this is supposed to work, seems broken by design.

This curve widget was meant to inspect HDR renders, and check if all colors are fine. It converts float to byte colors for you, but doesn't apply it back on float buffers, nor does it save (when you save float buffers for render).

I agree it's not a really good communicated feature, will make a note about it for our docs and later todo. I've added it long ago, so I feel guilty a bit :)
