Blender crashed when clicking "show desktop" in Win 7
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Blender crashed when I clicked the "show desktop" button in the Windows 7 taskbar. I tried again but it didn't repeat. However I did manage to save off the crash dump through Visual Studio, in case that's useful.

Running Blender 2.53 Beta x64, on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. CPU is an Intel Core i5-660 using the built-in GPU.

I don't know if it's actually "Windows related", but there' no separate crash category. Please move it elsewhere if more appropriate.

Event Timeline

From what I could glean of the .dmp, the crash happens in ig4dev64.dll. This means that the driver crashed, not Blender.

In this case I think the only fix possible is to get a newer version of the driver (or wait for a newer one that fixes the issue if you already are running the latest). Just a word of caution: intel gfx have been notorious lately for not working well with Blender.

Because this is a driver issue, rejecting the report.
