Wasn't sure to report this as a bug. It's something that gets in the way and becomes a little enoying.
When using enough polys to make the 3D view slow, fast navigation solves it, but if you were pressing for instance alt+shift to pan, and release the shift before the high poly was fully drawn, the shift release is not taken into account by Blender and you have to press it again and release it in order to be able to rotate with just ALT.
With fast changing from view pan to view rotation it gets in the way all the time.

We have the infamous "modifier key hangs in windows" back. In Linux and OSX this works fine, so where is this issue... can only be in our ghost library or so? Maybe Nathan finds this report fun to check. :)
