Blender 2.55 1611_33078, WinXP Pro 32bit SP2, Pentium D 3.00 GHz, 2Gb RAM, nVidia GF 7300 GS, NVIDIA driver: 6.14.11.9621
this system also has Intel Graphics Chipset but it's disabled
toDo:
1. go to Preferences and check "VBOs"
2. close Prefs
3. add any mesh
4. crash
other variant - add a mesh before checking "VBOs", then it crashes after "VBOs" checked immediately after closing Preferences window.
check with my config too, plz
another strange bug (or not):
the consol constantly gives "draw swap exchange **" (some numbers) messages. With some settings it gives very noticeable lags in system. 3dView panning lags too. When I checked off some "betas" in Add-ons.. Oh, I think it was because of something with LuxRender. Build 1526_33054.

If your graphics card crashes on VBO, we can't do much about it really. Your Blender file example also shows no reason for crashing (works OK here, but I use ATI).
Does NVidia still update drivers for WindowsXP? you could check for updates.

I have GForce 8600GT at home and it works fine. But here (at home) I have newer drivers! I'll check today when will be on work.

Yes, this was my mistake that I didn't checked drivers. With new video drivers VBOs isn't crashing.
Thanks for helping me!
