Error loading JPG images files on 2.5 under Linux

Description

When in image browser, try to open a .jpg image file :
> error :
"Wrong JPEG library version: library is 80, caller expects 62"

Linux kernel 2.6.33.5

64 bits system

This is problem with JPEG library available on your system. Release build has been built against different library version than what is available on your system. Install the 6.2 version too, and you should no longer get the error. BTW, we're already in Blender 2.55 beta :)

we could static link against jpeg now their are multiple versions.

I would also prefer to see static jpg in Linux release, the other reelases have this too. Just close the report to indicate if you agree :)

this is more a packaging/distribution then a bug.
