When i start up belender on my laptop and i want to set the user prefrences for a laptop as soon as i open up user prefrences a pop up box comes up and states blender has stoped working and i have had to close blender
I have also added a screen shot of all my laptop specs

We get this report occasionally, it seems to be related to opening a 2nd opengl window, when a computer has Intel graphics on-board. I can't see what kind of graphics card you have, but if you have an nvidia on it, blender should run fine. Upgrading to the latest drivers from the vendor website always is advised.
Blender uses cross platform code for opengl drawing, and with over 80% of our users in Windows, we only get feedback things work OK typically, and when not, it was an issue with drivers or settings on the system itself.
