Bleder Stops Working at User Preferences

Description

When I click in File -> User Preferences
Windows gives me a message saying that 'Blender has stopped working'

I tried opening the user preferences by the keyboard shortcut, same thing, 'Blender has stopped working'

my specs:

HP Compaq 6720s Specifications:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5470 1.60GHz , 2MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB
OS: Microsoft Windows Seven Professional (Portuguese)
Screen: 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800)
Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

This issue has been reported by others with Windows7 and Intel graphics, but not consistent, nor does it happen for WinXP or other OSs using intel gfx.
We are really powerless here; with no active developer using a similar configuration.

It's an active item on our todo & graphics/opengl tracker, as soon as we get hold of a developer who can redo this we'll solve it.

Work around: choose "User Preference" via the leftmost "editors" menu button in every blender header.

nazg-gul seems to fix the problems with Intel cards on Windows. Thanks!

May you check the new build for errors on your system? And report any problems. Thanks.
