os: windows 7
build: 20.04.2001 morning (cant remember the build number)
so i created a new folder when i wanted to save a obj file from the filemanager and that created a strange thing (folder) that did not exist for windows but i could still see it and open it but not delete or write anything in it. (see attachment)
after several hours of search i found some help in an irc channel and they told me to try "dir /x" in the command prompt.this listed a folder~1 as name. so i could use "rd folder~1" to remove it.
not sure how this happened but it might be a good idea to check for bad symbols in folder names before creating them so such things do not happen.

Rule #1 for valid bug reports: provide a redoable case for someone else to verify the issue.
we already do know there's problems with using accented characters in directory names... that's on the list to work more on.

Could this be related to the windows7-bug mentioned here: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/64141-cant-delete-thumbs-db.html ? I had massive problems with network-folders acting funny, and it was caused by this bug.
