This script adds a voxelized/cubified mesh to the selected object's space.
There are quite a few to do's on this script,
I know of two other similar scripts that can be merged to provide a couple of different creation methods.
Menu's need to be written to give the user greater control:
Scale, object type & other practical variables need to be considered.
Renaming the script, maybe to pixelize or Cells, we can discuss this.

hi, I'm uploading the add_cells script port by PKHG to this project.
Both scripts need improvement & I think it's better to have the one script.
To do's > Merge scripts & write new interface.
I would like to have both scripts under the same init.py & from within the scripts interface, choose the from either method.
The Cells port also need windows deps removed.

Just playing with 'add_mesh ...'
How to convert an ... object to ONE mesh (converting dupli to mesh?), I mean lots of points and edges?

And your suggestion is to have 'parameters' to it?

these scripts would be very usful, not release but contrib will do, but they need to have the cell win deps removed and be moved to the tools pane, the view pane is for PROPERTIES ONLY , GP is the only exception to this, voxelise works ok, but make to many verticies and have very little options like only voxelise selection, size of voxels,orientation and randomisation options

Due to changes to the api including the merging of bmesh, several addons are outdated.
Please, if you are the author of an addon check your script with blender revision 44256 or newer.
That is builds made After blender 2.62 official release.
I would ask that updates be made to your addon before the Blender 2.63 release.
6-8 weeks away.
This allows time for the api to become more exposed & bmesh to stablize furthur.
If you need help, drop into irc freenode #blenderpython or #blendercoders & feel welcome to ask questions.
At the time of 2.63 release, scripts that are not repaired or in active developement will have their tracker page marked "Closed"
this will not affect your links to the tracker, similar to closing scripts in 2.49b, the page will be still availible & can be re-opened.
