Info Panel sometimes goes dark on startup in Ubuntu 11.04 *DRIVER BUG*
Closed, ArchivedPublicKNOWN ISSUE

Description

This is like a really minor, tiny bug, if you can even call it a bug. I'm just submitting this to let you guys know that it's there. On Ubuntu 11.04, when you start up blender, and maximize or open the window, the info panel at the top goes black. the problem goes away as soon as you move your mouse over the panel, and sometimes goes away after a second or 2.

Uhh... I think I made the bug angry by submitting it. :P Now, the entire UI goes dark, and sometimes the panels don't reappear when I move my mouse over them. Attaching another screenshot.

Darn it, missing parameters

Anyway, this is blender on my computer now.

Ubuntu 11.04 seems to be a mess with Blender bugs. I keep seeing them. On my computer it doesn't draw 80% of interface and is very difficult to work with. I have pictures on the bug stating "Weird interface glitch, crashes at random times,". Number 28171. It seems each computer's bugs are unique iin 11.04, because my computer doesn't doesn't do that. It stinks. For your bug, does the mostly black screen disappear after waving the mouse over it before?

90% of the time. Sometimes you have to click it.

I can confirm the bug on Ubuntu 11.04 64b, but just a quick workaround: Press left arrow, then right arrow (1 frame back and 1 forward), and most of the UI is back.

BM: this is driver or opengl bugs, in your system.

Mention your graphics hardware and your driver versions please. Check if there's updates available. Try the official vendor drivers (not the free software ones).
