Fly mode problem: "Precision enable" not working in 2.59
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The "Precision enable" feature in fly mode, has no effect on my mac system.
I tried setting the Precision enable / disable key to a different key combination and it still had no effect.

My system specs are:
OS: MacOS X 10.7.1 Lion
System: 2009 13" Macbook Pro, Core 2 duo 2.2GHz, 4gb ram
Blender version: 2.5.9 64bit Intel

Thank you,
Aron

It still works for me on OS X 10.6. It has 3 effects for me:
* slow down panning with MMB
* accelerate less when doing e.g. shift + numpad plus
* decelerate when keeping it pressed

This seems to be the same as in 2.49. Did you have this working in a particular previous Blender version? Did it break when upgrading to OS X 10.7?

I did some testing and I downloaded 2.49 for comparison
>* slow down panning with MMB
This works for me in both 2.49 and 2.592

>* accelerate less when doing e.g. shift + numpad plus
This works in 2.49 by default (using my macbook + and - key since there is no numpad),
However in 2.592 with numpad emulation enabled, the shift key causes the + and - keys to be ignored

I usually use the mouse wheel for acceleration, and the shift key blocks all mousewheel movement,
I'm not sure if it's supposed to behave this way but I thought it would be nice if shift slowed the zoom in / out function when using the mousewheel.

>* decelerate when keeping it pressed
This works also in both versions

Thanks
