The program no longer exists.
I couldn't redo the issue, but this seems graphics driver related. If you've not already done this, it might help to install the latest drivers from ATI.
For a backtrace, you have to type "bt" in gdb, otherwise it doesn't print useful information.
One more thing you can try to do is to run blender-softwaregl script which distributes with builds from blender.org.
