The odd colors in the right hand side of the Blender screen have returned. Please see attached pics.
The colors come fairly often, but not always, when right-clicking, especially in the right-hand side of the display, Also when left-clicking to select drop-down items in the right side of the screen. Happens with both the default Cycles scene and another simple scene, both in Cycles render mode and Blender Internal setting, but not in Game Engine setting.
Memory use is 25%, of which Blender takes only 36MB.
Doesn't happen in main release r41098.
Again, here is the output from System Info:

Most probably it's crappy intel drivers. What you my want to check, is to copy lib/ forlder and blender-softwaregl script from release archive to the same folder where recent blender binary is located and try running blender-softwaregl. And please try this with builds from out buildbot site (http://builder.blender.org/download/).
Checked with valgrind and bugle and didn't find any issues with opengl usage from our side. Will move to OpenGL tracker. Feel free to provide additional info here and we'll make everything we can do to fix this issue.
Hi Sergey,
I copied the file and folder into build/bin folder of my latest Blender build and ran the script. The result was that all graphics on my monitor froze in a washed out state and the following errors were reported in the terminal:
Connect failed
ndof: spacenavd not found
found bundled python
warning - no scene
I had to reboot to exit this state.
I'm now downloading http://builder.blender.org/download/blender-2.60-r42152-linux-glibc27-i686.tar.bz2 on a slow Inet connection and will let you know the result of applying the same procedure to that build shortly.
Running r42152 from BuildBot with blender-softwaregl gives a similar result to running with r41899 compiled on my system - the Blender window turns pale translucent yellow and the system hangs. Same result when running release 41098. My system doesn't like the blender-softwaregl script.
