ok i can open this file with defaults

but if i try to open without load UI then it crashes all the time!

Sounds like a bug in intel drivers. Make sue you're using th very recent drivers from official intel's download center.
If it'll continue to crash for you, please provide sample .blend file and fuller system specification (operation system, version, bitenss, system-info.txt generated by Help -> System Information operator).

the page on system info contains a lot of personnel password
and cannot upload in public place here !
and it is 800 KB !

which fields do you need ?

i have latest of most soft on my system!
been check 2 weeks ago i think


sorry i did upload the file but looks like it was lost!

and don't think this is realated to intel soft itself
but more may be with some sort openCL
problem like it was indicated on last file crashes bug report

cause i never had problem before with 2.49 on same machine and blender!

so suspect it is something else the intel driver !

only common problem i see here is that i appended objects (font + mesh) from a 2.49 file to 2.6
and that's where problems happened!

i mean it works fine in 2.49 why not in 2.6 !

it's using the same intel driver but not the same blender driver interface!


now this one crashe sonly if i open it up while setting load GUI off

it works fine if i don't use this feature (load GUI)
which is very strange !

sorry file is 5.05 MB and tried compress and it does not work

I'm not sure what personal information you're talking about, system-info.txt generated by operator from blender's Help -> System Iformation should not contain such information. But without knowing windos version, bitness and details about OpenGL is used in your system we can't figure out the problem. In additional to operation system version and system-info.txt it's needed to know your videocard model.

Blender 2.5x and newer is using opengl much more intensively and this explains why 2.49 works and 2.61 crashes for you. It's not actually much what can be done from our side unfortunately, intelis known for it's crappy hardware and drivers which makes blender crashing. It's not because of bugs from our side, but because of specific of how intel drivers are working.

If you're using 32bit version of blender. you can try downloading this archive graphicall.org/ftp/ideasman_42/opengl32.zip unpacking opengl32.dll to the same directory as blender.exe and running blender. It will switch blender to software mode. There's one known issue with this mdde -- o the blender exit it tells that blender crashed. It's annoying, but not leading to data loose and it's a bit difficult to figre out why it happens.

Forgot to mention, you can use pasteall.org to upload bigger /blend files.

but as i explain i can open the file normaly and it works fine

it crashes only if i open with no load GUI?
which is very strange

it works in one case but not in the ohter case!



one question from the blender sys info

why does it says that it is 64 bits while l'm on a 32 bits vista machine ?

Moved from Blender 2.6 Bug Tracker to OpenGL errors

OpenGl issues are always inpredictable. It's indeed the very recent drivers installed, so the only way to test would be try to use graphicall.org/ftp/ideasman42/opengl32.zip unpacked to the same folder as blender.exe.
Can't reproduce crash on my laptop with intel videocard. Will keep asking other developers to try to reproduce the issue. Unfortunately, it's not much we can do in this situation, it's just bug in library we aren't developing. Moving to OpenGL tracker.

P.S. It's indeed interesting question about bitness.
