VSE Trimmed audio plays when overlaped
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

After trimming a movie strip with audio and copy>pasting it to another scene, sometimes the trimmed away audio will play (in the trimmed away areas). But only when it overlaps another similar Movie audio strip.

If there is a gap between the 2 strips (but there is still an overlap of trims) the trimmed audio will play during other strip, then mute during gap, then play correctly at strip start again.

The work around is to save and reopen from recent projects. This clears the bug. I don't know if saving the .blend whilst it fails will help, as that is the way to fix it.

This is a post Meta strip audio patched version of Blender.

Joerg, maybe you've got time to look into this or give some tips? Not actually familiar with audio in sequencer..

David, attaching .blend files which demonstrates bugs always helps a lot.

Fixed in revision 46304. Thanks for reporting.
