Render White Incorrectly for Cycles and Blender Renderer
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Windows 7, NVidia Quadro 4000, Blender 2.64 RC and previous one.

I created random complex looking object, basically interconnected lines of edges, convert into curve, extrude the curve and render. It renders good on screen (Cycles Render, real time), but then when I hit Render button, it renders.... just white silhouette. No details. I wonder why.

Cheers.

Event Timeline

There's an object in the scene called Icosphere that is hidden in the viewport but selected for rendering (note the settings in the outliner). Either deselect its renderability in the outliner, move it to an unused layer or delete it and things should work as expected.

Yep, can confirm what Rob says. Not a bug, closing…

Aha.... that's right! - _-

Render only respects Render Visibilty toggle, while the other method of live render (Open GL Cycles) apparently respect just Visibility toggle. That's new.

Cheers. Not a bug.
