Hello,
--- Operating System, Graphics card ---
Ubuntu 64bits LTS
2x GTX580
--- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---
2.65, 2.65a, 2.66, 2.66a
--- Short description of error ---
Since 2.65 and 2.65A in the same way, the 2.66 and 2.66a, when I activate my two GTX 580 cards for preview render in compositing, the mouse stutters heavily! Note that I've also set the mode "Compute GPU" ...
This does not happen when I pack the textures in the file.
--- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---
I attached a file that is causing it and the textures in a zip. I will put you in a zip in external configuration file with external textures blend to reproduce the bug. Similarly, I put my report via the file system system_info.txt.
Blend with textures included: http://www.pasteall.org/blend/19939
Blend + external textures: http://dl.free.fr/c97g1sWc0
Hoping that you can fix this bug, which for me is annoying.
Thank you.

--- Blender version with error, and version --- That Worked
I forgot to mention that I have the bug qur following versions: 2.65, 2.65A, 2.66, 2.66a. Before, I did not use anything other than internal textures.
I'll try with the trunk left on your address: http://builder.blender.org/download/.
I see the same problem. It lag a lot when you activate the cycles in the preview when editing compositing nodes.
The trunk is version 2.66 (sub 1), revision b'55041'. b'Release' build date: b'2013-03-05', b'05:02:48' platform: b'Linux:64bit' .
Hello,
I always find the significant lag problem on moving the mouse over the trunk version 2.66 (sub 1), revision b'55123 '. b'Release '.
I just realize by taking the version 2.66 (sub 1), revision b'55057 '. b'Release 'only meshes with the difuse and skydome, that at the lag when I prewews starts 2x GTX 580.
With a single GTX 580 I do not encounter this problem of lag.
So I am forced to do prevews with a single card. It's much less convenient and much slower to edit nodes. I do not see adding a third card, just for display. If an attempt is that it solves part of the problem!
I attached the file view for once, it is independent of the textures. But this does not solve the general problem of lag.
My drivers were updated this morning, before having it tested. For me it is NVIDIA 304.84 for ubuntu.
Hello,
I continue my investigations Open GL in case. For me, it works in CPU, GPU cards 1 and 2 lags. Ditto for GLSL.
It remains for me to test build to graphicall. But I hesitate not bad. I used to take the version on blender.org. Of simplicity and especially the advantage of stability.
Last detail has its importance. When I model, with the previous version I had from time to time a slight lag when I was a passage from a website on Blender. From 2.66 and it's the same with 2.66a, everything is better on that side.
Okay, well I'll let me return information, if any. Otherwise, I would manage with a single card in the case of a new job. It will take longer in Cycles with a card instead of 2 but without lag.
Thank you.
Hi,
I don't think this is a bug. When you utilise all GPUs in your system for rendering, it is normal that it lags.
As you found out, using only 1 card solves the problem. Cycles gives back access to the system (and for UI drawing) back as often as possible, but when both cards render at 100%, there is not much performance left for drawing the Blender Interface.
Also, you mention Compositing, make sure to have "OpenCL" disabled inside the compositor, otherwise this would use the GPUs as well.
