Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

--- Operating System, Graphics card ---
Windows 7 64bit, different (intel HD4000, and NVidia Quadro FX 570M)

--- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---
tested on 2.67b, 2.67RC, blender-2.67-r58014-win64.zip

--- Short description of error ---
when i grab, rotate a full riged object, and i cancle the process with ESC-Key, parts of the rig do not reset to its state before starting the process.

--- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---
i used that blend file (Piero Rig by cgcookie):
http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/68991

the wings of the model do not reset when grabbing / rotation is canceled by hitting ESC (see video).

(it happens on different computers with different GPU's)

Event Timeline

PS: same under linux (ubuntu 13.x) / blender-2.67b-linux-glibc211-x86_64

That's because the rig contains a dependency cycle, in that case lagging is the expected behavior, more info about that here:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Source/Data_System/Dependency_Graph/Overview

This is printed to the console when loading the file:

Dependency cycle detected:
rig depends on MCH_armSpline.R through Spline IK.
MCH_armSpline.R depends on rig through Hook Modifier.

Dependency cycle detected:
MCH_armSpline.L depends on rig through Hook Modifier.
rig depends on MCH_armSpline.L through Spline IK.
