It looks like you have included only the result of the boolean.

Could you include the objects before they are operated on?

here is a new file with original objects

now i'v redone at est in a new file
and could not reproduce it !

not certain why this original file where i ahd problem is doing it

thanks

sorry was unable to upload new file here !
not certain why or how to do it !

so here is a new file with bug in last post
i remove most of the other objects from the original file and kept only the objects with problems
hope it does not matter !

filename = bug2

new boolean problem

see file bugbool5
in first post in this thread

i guess this is a new bug with boolean
cause normaly it does not do that ?

now here i added a sphere and a cylinder
then added the boolean union on the sphere and use cylinder for the other object

as you can see in file if you move the sphere up and down i will disappears!

now sorry still not able to reproduce at will
have to find how/when to reproduce each time!

i will continue to experiment and try to find how/ to reproduce it !

thanks

Your cylinder is opened! Results of boolean operations cannot be guaranteed with non-manifold and/or opened meshes... Just close your cylinder and everything works as expected.

i read wiki and if i remember well
it says that we can use open objects with boolean

are you saying this cannot work on open objects at all?

and in case it does would it be possible to limit the values of verts to a certain max value?
iotherwuse the mesh data is totaly screwed up and cannot be use anymore
in other words you get a scrap file and that is not fun ?

thanks
