2.68.0 r58368
--- Short description of error ---
Screw modifier limits iterations to 100 with slider
--- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---
use a filled circle and set a screw modifier. set spacing to any value and iterations to 100. use the arrows to try increasing the value.
it wont allow an increase over 100 unless it is manually typed 101 then it will increase again with the arrows. At 100, it will decrease but not increase unless manually typed to any value over 100.
Able to replicate multiple times.
Also present in the 2.67b release. I dont recall if 2.66a had this.

This does not sound like a bug, many applications do the same to prevent users accidentally increasing the value too high, in my opinion Blender doesn’t do this enough.
You can see the effect you are describing in the 'Subdivision Surface' modifier for example.

Not a bug, this is just a ui soft limit. If this value was higher you would get difficulties setting typical lower values precisely. The way to override it is like you wrote, click on the button and type a larger value manually. The hard limit is significantly bigger (up to max_int unless decreased for some other reason, i.e. 2,147,483,647), so this should not be an issue at all.
