This is by design, not a bug. Ctrl+T is what is used to open/close the properties panel

And this is not exclusive to text editor, pretty much everywhere in blender this happens.

So why is ctrl+f opening it at all then? Does not make sense to me..

and would it make sense to put this for osx users on cmd+t? (i never use ctrl+anything, thats what the cmd key is for in osx. Using ctrl+anything is further not usable since it's a very akward move for the hand...)

and find previous (not next) is not possible at all?

The cmd key issue on osx was already reported and fixed in r60450:

https://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=36891&group_id=9
https://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=36898&group_id=9

Please report here if the issue you reported is still in the latest trunk build (>= r60450).

Also, the ctrl+F issue was already reported in another place:

https://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=36724&group_id=9

Closing.

The Cmd+A is not fixed actually.
@Jens, can you take a look at it? It's not in the Text Editor itself, but in any 'text' field (e.g., object name, scene name, ...)

Ah sorry, reopening...

I fixed the cmd-a for OSX now and do not use ctrl-a anymore.
It is not acceptable to have it in blender other way than in all other applications.
Blender should follow OSX guidelines and conformity, all different usage of common
keyboardshortcuts only confuse users.
I also plaid for avoiding doubled shorts with same meaning, expecially when ctrl-a for example
already has an "os-meaning".
