Missing Buttons in Edit Strip Sub-Menu for Sound Strips in the VSE
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

--- Operating System, Graphics card ---
Error was detected on two separate computers.
System #1:
Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit), with AMD A8-3520M, Radion HD graphics 1.68GHz (Laptop)
(Test conducted with AC3 sound [48000 Hz sample @ 256KHz bit stream] and h264 video strips, from MPEG4)
System #2:
Ubuntu 12.4 LTS (64bit) , with ADM A10-7500 APU, Radion HD graphics x 4 (Desktop)

--- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---
Error detected in: Blender 2.69.0 r60991
Working properly in: Blender 2.68.0 r58536

--- Short description of error ---
The following Menu/button items are missing from all sound strips that are added to the VSE timeline:
Blend Drop-down Menu,
Opacity Slider,
Hide/Un-hide ('eye" symbol),
Lock/Un-lock ("Padlock" symbol)

--- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---
Download the three attached files, placing them all in the same directory. Open the test-11Nov2013.blend file with Blender 2.69.0. Observe that the buttons listed above are present in the 'Edit Strip' Sub-menu when TestPic.png image strip is selected, and then 'disappear' when the TestTone.wav Sound Strip is selected.

I have also noticed that the keyboard commands for Hide ('h'), Un-hide ('alt-h'), Lock ('shift-L'), and Un-lock ('alt-shift-L') appear to work properly.

Thank You.

Blend and opacity were removed, because they make absolutely no sense with Audio strips (they were completely ignored anyway). However, hide & lock should not have been removed, added them back in r61234. Thanks for the report. :)
