Curves with depth and subsurf results in inverted normals when zooming
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

System Information
Windows 7 64 bit
AMD Radeon HD 6950

Blender Version
Broken: Blender 2.69.0 (official release [r60995])

I've got a scene with a couple of beziercurves (with bevel, depth and subsurf) and a few meshes and when I zoom in on the curves (while something else is selected like a mesh) the normals of the curves seem to get inverted (can be seen with backface culling off).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I've attached an image and a blend file illustrating the problem below. I've only tested this on my computer but the problem should occur if you just zoom in on the curves without changing the selection or anything else.

I tried reproducing the error in a new file (with a few plane meshes and curves) but I couldn't reproduce it.

I can't edit the task but I accidentally wrote that the problem can be seen with backface culling off that should of course have said that the problem can be seen with backface culling on.

@Robin Karlsson (nosslak) thanks for the report,

good find, this also exposes some other problems with selection and backface culling, checking now.
