Bevel modifier misinterprets normals of mesh generater by other modifiers, therefore creating completely inside out bevels that looks like huge artifacts.

Reproduction:

  • Open default scene.
  • Enter edit mode
  • Move the cube on x-axis (preferably more than 1 unit to see the effect clearly)
  • Enter object mode
  • Add mirror modifier on x-axis
  • Add bevel modifier

Thanks for reporting, this is the same bug as T37916: Mirror+Bevel modifiers produce incorrect result., so I've merged the reports.

I looked for it but couldn't find a still open bug report about it so I created a new one. thanks for merging it :)
