Description of Error

"Mixdown" button is missing from the following menu: Properties>Scene>Audio

To observe this error

  1. Open Release Candidate Blender v 2.69.11 to default configuration.
  2. Left-click on "Scene" icon button to open Scene sub-menu in Properties Panel/window.
  3. expand "Audio" sub-sub-menu, and look for "Mixdown" button that used to be the last bar-shaped button in the sub-sub-menu.

Functionality for "Mixdown" can still be located in the software by pressing the space-bar, and typing in "Mixdown" in the search-tool. But I don't think there is a hot-key combination to bring up the "Mixdown" Function, which saves out Audio from the VSE.

Mixdown has been very useful to me for enhancing the sound track, once the video sequence has been finalized (After exporting to .wav file, tweeking with Audacity, and then re-importing the .wav file back into Blender)..

No specific conditions in the blender program need be set up by a .blend file to observe this behavior.

Apologies, if this bug was already reported - I was unable to use the above link to find the bug-tracking listings I am enjoying the VSE as an editing tool, when used in conjunction with the Sequence_Jump_to_Cut Addon Python script. .

Sergey Sharybin (sergey) claimed this task.

The button has been moved to Render panel as described ithere http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.70/More_Features#Render

Thanks for the report, but it's not a bug.

Just noticed the "Audio Render" button in the Properties>Render>Render sub-sub-menu. Is This a replacement for the Mixdown button that was under Properties>Scene>Audio sub-sub-menu?

It may be too early to rejoyce: 2.96.11 crashed when I tried to use Properties>Render>Render>Audio to render an .ogg file from the VSE project I was working on.

Thanks, Sergey for the quick response. I will learn to stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Was able to successfully render a half-hour .wav file with the newly located Properties>Render>Render>"audio" button. I will not be making a bug report for the above crash, since I don't think the problem is reliably-repeatable. Good day to you.
