Blender 2.70 crashes whenever I click on anything

Short description of error

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open blender normally
  2. Blender opens and displays everything normally
  3. Click on anything on the 3D window
  4. Blender quits without any warning

I repeated those steps but executed blender from command line and I got the following message:

$ blender
connect failed: No such file or directory
No available targets are compatible with this triple, see -version for the available targets.
Writing: /tmp/blender.crash.txt

32 or 64bit, what GPU exactly, what CPU? We need that info.

Kubuntu 13.10 64-bits

CPU: 4x Intel core 2 QUAD CPU Q8200 @2.33GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 120

I forgot to mention that I am using irie's ppa. When using stock Blender (2.66) I can use it normally without any problems. I started experiencing after having used irie's ppas.

We cannot support third party builds, so please double check with Blender 2.69 or Blender 2.70 RC from blender.org
