Iirc, this has already been fixed. Please test with one of our nightly builds.

I have tested both at 64bits 0fg1d2c-win64 and 0fg1d2c-win64-vc12 with yhe same resulis.

blender disapears hiting Enable Dynamic at brush tools Topology

yks.

I assume you have that even with default scene?

Antony, thoughts?

It shouldn't happen.

19e627c is the official release which should not crash at all.

  • Can you try with factory settings?
  • Can you try with VBO on-off?

What GPU do you have? This looks suspiciously like a GPU problem but might be related to add ons as well.

i have done al tests with fresh downloades and installed blender as well as with default scene. for all verion I tryed,

with VBO off:
blender starts and it blows up when you hit Enable Dynamic at brush tools Topology

with VBO on tllded (tilded at File > User Preferences > System > VBO (just bellow Anisotropic Filtering)

blender makes an splash entry a inmediatelly disapears.
there is no way to undo VBO, just uninstaing and reinstalling it

my graphic card is NVIDIO Gerorce 8600 GT
win 7 ultimate - 64 bits
i5 CPU - 16GB ram mem

Can you generate system info (Help menu -> System Info then go to the blender text editor {shift - F11} and select the system-info.txt file from the drop down at the bottom) and paste the contents of here?

It looks like in your system blender is using the software implementation of OpenGL which comes with Windows.

Blender needs hardware support for OpenGL, so make sure a recent graphics driver for your NVIDIA card is installed in your computer.
(You can find those on nvidia.com). Your graphics card is more than capable of handling sculpting if you install it correctly.

Closing.

Great !!!

Updating the graphic driver from MS (the one from W7 installation disk) to the latest corresponding NVIDIA drive (335-23)

thank you very much !!!!
