Blender Version
Broken: since blender-2.70-c6d8540-win64 (April 2nd), including blender-2.70-be980b9-win64
Worked: blender-2.70-f5b79df-win64 (March 30st)

and enable Matcap shading: Blender quits without a message.

I've removed as much as possible from the file, but I don't know why it still happens in this case. Though, in any other case, Matcap shading is not a problem.

Addition: I've removed all but one triangle from the mesh but it still quits when enabling Matcap. After removing the last triangle, it does not quit anymore. Hmm....

Addition #2: If I add another object, have it point to the same mesh and delete the original object, enabling Matcap works. So it's probably a problem with the object, not with the mesh.

EDIT: Comparing the two objects (before deleting the orginal object) in the datablocks view shows that the Matrix property seems to have strange values. However, the older Blender version has no problem with these values.
